furnituremaker… I’m sure the doctors told you but if not I will. It helps if you hold a pillow as tightly as you can against the place where the crack is.
I wish I’d had that advice two years ago when I had six broken ribs (and collarbone). I would almost come to tears when I realized I had to sneeze or (even worse) cough.
thebird55: Commiserations. I have a permanently broken rib. Doesn’t hurt anymore when I sneeze or cough as such but the sheer hell of getting it back into place after a bad sneeze is beyond description.
If Vigilante de noche has any suggestions about where to shove a pillow to help with that then I’m all ears.
I love The Barn, I truly do, and while sneezure is a funny word, I urge people not to use it. It could be considered offensive to people with a seizure disorder as it sounds like a combination between sneeze and seizure. As in, he sneezed so hard, it caused him to have a seizure, which is not out of the realm of possibility.
miriam, you need to realize that there is NOTHING that you can say these days that won’t tick somebody off. They wear their feelings on their sleeve and are just hoping that you say something that they can jump on. As long as I am not saying anything to purposely hurt someone then they need to learn to deal with it. I’m not going to worry about every word that comes out of my mouth! I don’t have the time or desire to worry about it!!! In fact, I tried to post this and had to change a word to ‘tick’ in order to not ‘tick’ off the powers that be!

I love a good sneeze, except that my nose invariably runs right afterwards.
