I had a deprived (depraved?) childhood. I had to settle for Lincoln Logs. Is there some government program to give me reparation for this loss in childhood? I accept banded straps of fifty and hundred dollar bills.
And yes, there is such a thing as too many Legos, ask a mother who picked up little teeny tiny pieces in her vacuum cleaner all the time! It was fun though, to watch my kids imaginations as they put them together!
My mom hated my legos. She wouldn’t let us build anywhere but our room because we would always inevitably leave little pieces in the carpet and she would step on them barefoot. Hehe, she hated that.
Add me to the “no such thing” camp, but man… If this is what we’re seeing, imagine how many more we DON’T see? I mean, they haven’t even used a single yellow one, and they made up about 70% of my own supply.
Yeah, I seem to recall my Big Cardboard Box O’ Legos having a predominant yellow hue. It depends on what sets you had, I imagine. I certainly don’t remember having many in brown, but the specialty sets for building pirate ships and such were after my time.

The art is amazing!
No little one can ever have too many legos. No matter how many you have there’s always room for more.

Right there with ya, Lewreader. Legos weren’t around when I was Doug’s age. But I have to agree with most everyone. Great job. wonderful detail.

Brian you outdid yourself in the detail!

There is no such thing as too many Legos. There is such a thing as too many family members taking up valuable Lego space.

Really, Fritzoid? I think I had more reds & whites than anything else. Blues & yellows were on the low end for me.

A favorite destination - Minneapolis to see the 2 story Lego creations at the Mall of America.
My son is in his 20’s. The only toys of his I won’t let go of are the Legos.
I remember, before Lego made their Star Wars sets, my son repainted Lego people as Star Wars characters.
