Couldn’t have been worse than my MIL wearing my bridesmaids dress!. Never mind that it was waaaaay too young for her, and she made it hersel! Many years later I asked her “why”? and she said she thought it would please me. Well, I was horrified instead.
The point of this strip would be lost on Joy and Verla…They would look at that photo and say it was a good thing they were wearing bright colors, otherwise, it would have looked so drab.
I can surmise this because I have pretty much heard it before…from real people…
From the (former) best friend of one groom, who got drunk, then thought it was funny to “drop trou” behind the couple in what would have been their favorite wedding picture….To a woman in my (also former) Red Hat chapter, when everybody had worn their nicest purple clothes and red headgear, to take a group picture for our new website…Except she showed up in bright lime green pants, and paid no attention to anyone’s pleas to change…telling us she was glad she made the photos look “less monotonous.”
They’re just going to cut themselves out and put them in their Dollar Doozie store frames. If they were smart enough to use PhotoShop, they’d replace the bride and groom with celebrities and hang that.
SusanYes she did! She questioned me closely about what they were wearing and I (who didn’t know her well) thought she was just interested. My bridesmaids wore white chiffon with a drape around the neckline that tied in back and a full flowing skirt, She made hers in blue and got it spot on! She even wore a picture hat like my bridesmaids. My mother wore a rose pink lace suit.

Rose… do you mean she made herself an “unauthorised,” and amateur, copy of the dress you’d chosen, and the bridesmaids were all wearing?Yikes.
Hey, somebody should have told her that mothers of the bride and groom are required to wear something in a pastel print with matching sheer sleeves.

At least they are both on the ends, that was the bride can cut them out and have a nice pic. But not in the frame the Pennys gave them

Knowing that bunch, I’m not sure I’d even invite them to the wedding.

So which father is joy and verles brother. Says the bride is a cousin. Can’t be a sister to joy. Very confused.

Well if you can outdo the bride, you might as well out-tacky everyone in the place.

Hard to believe they’d even be invited. You know it wouldn’t be for their anticipated gifts.
