….this reminds me of those old Warner Bros. cartoons where a flag would go down and umpteen cars would roar past the “go” spot, and after a second or so some dweeby character would squeak on along on some pedal-powered toy tractor…….Burl, perhaps?………

The “marathon” is a third of a mile. I doubt he can even walk that far anyway.
