Just studied the cartoon seeing if there’s anything to keep from discussing the pathetic process of US politics… Back in 2008 after the Nov. election I found myself saying, “America has finally grown up.” Since then, I can only shake my head in wonderment of how wrong I was!!
Waste of time. They won’t shift themselves to go out and vote. Not unless a free jelly donut came with each vote. And they will lose the mail-in ballot and won’t find it until a week after the election. They will send it in, with a note explaining it was lost and should be counted. It will end up on the Wall of Shame that is no doubt on the wall in the election office break room.
George Ryan (1999-2003) Racketeering, bribery, extortion, money laundering and tax fraud.
Rod Blagojevich (2003-2009) public corruption after he attempted to solicit bribes to occupy the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama—“I’ve got this thing, and it’s golden. I’m just not giving it up for nothing.”
Julie’s OCD sometimes gets the best of her. In this case, it led to a lot of unnecessary drawing.
She has the visitors standing in front of the door screen, but BEHIND the door. Fail … but the punishment of actually having to draw the screen is sufficient.

Sadly, this is a depiction of an actual percentage of voters.

There is a signifcant percentage of voters who don’t trust any elected — or appointed — official who is not sufficiently corrupt.

I once had a co-worker tell me she was voting for a certain presidential candidate because she thought he was “cute.”
