One of my favorite supervisors would let us order supplies from a catalog at the end of the quarter and we could take the supplies we ordered home (it was understood but not said aloud). He said the department got a supply budget and what we didn’t use, we’d lose so he would walk around with this huge catalog asking if anyone needed anything. I’m sure it was very unethical but I was in my early 20s and new at this job thing, so I didn’t think twice about it.
