Alright I’ll ask: Burl, why can’t Sue use a laptop computer if she breaks a leg?

With a lap top, Sue could easily move upstairs and annoy Bill. So he got her something too heavy to lug up the basement stairs, and impossible with an unlikely, but conceivable, broken leg. Burl’s inane comment contrasts with Bill’s more clever plan. What I don’t get is why Sue would consent to be in the basement. Unless it’s Sue who wants to get away from Bill.
