    Burl didn’t notice, because through decades of practice, his eye structures have learned to adapt to the most critical parts of his environment, which in his case is the TV screen. But when nature has you lose one thing, it gives you anther. So Burl won’t notice TV changes, so long as Hee-Haw and America’s Funniest C-Sections comes on. But he can detect when his portion at dinner is the tiniest bit smaller than Joy’s, or when the neighbor’s newspaper is lying one half inch onto his property, and can judge to the second when the boy will replenish the imitation chocolate pudding at the buffet.
