Easy solution…, pay for the land line but just don’t use it. Use your cell phones exclusively, that’ll show ‘em you aren’t ones to be pushed around.

I know you aren’t going to believe this, but I used to have inlaws just like this. Dear sweet people, but clueless.

Wish I had a neighbour like Burl, a know-it-all kind of guy. Wouldn’t ever have to look anything up again…

We’re on our third area code. First was 713, then 409 and now 979. They ought to be changing it again in the next year or two…

With Joy on this one. Still have a 312 number from when that was the entire Chicago Metropolitan area. Then came pagers and fax machines and finally cells and texting and streaming and 708 and 847 and changing from antenna to cable to streaming and on and on…!

I would not be surprised to hear they are still paying Ma Bell for long distance! I went on police calls to seniors’ houses where they still had the old Bakelite push button phone from the phone company, no doubt paying a few dollars a month for rental. I tried to tell them they could go buy a phone at Walmart for $20 and stop paying the rent, and you’d think I was a snake oil salesman!

Push button? There are whole areas in our state that still have rotary phones.

We have 4 area codes here in Houston.

One day we with a cartoon with all speach balloons and no room for characters. Then we get to guess who said what. We could make a contest out of it.
