The bluebird of happiness is a yellow-belly, not only here on GoComics but over on Arcamax as well. Something fishy about this whole episode. Where did that weasel come from? We’ve not seen it before in Gary’s suburban neighborhood. Did Leopold set this up to depress Gary over the holidays even further?

Wow, the colorist really CAN’T read. Notice he also seems to have misinterpreted the loose feathers in panel 2 as leaves.

I think the trouble is that some of these colorists simply don’t bother to read.

There isn’t anything wrong with the color of the bird, Vampires are color blind.

The colorist probably gets paid by the piece or the hour and can’t take the time to read them.
