In November 2015, fishermen off the coast of Northern Spain caught a 33 FT long, 330 LB giant squid. Color me deadly. Green was one of the Victorian era's most fashionable colors, but it was created with arsenic based dyes that caused serious injuries- sometimes even death! Grow van Gogh! Artist Diemut Strebe joined University scientists in creating a living replica of Dutch Impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh's ear from samples of his DNA.

As long as those fishermen didn’t get injured or killed by the giant squid, or release it; perhaps in Jules Verne’s day, all such squids were feared by people. In 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Captain Nemo got caught by one such squid, and didn’t survive.
