Rule in our house: never call from room to room. It’s impolite to interrupt another’s thoughts. Want to talk, go find the other person and give them time to “shift their focus”. Sometimes that only takes a second. Sometimes a bit longer. Coming home from work or errands, never slam the door shouting “I’m home!” as if everyone else is just waiting for your return. If they are, they’ll be at the door. Ease into the house and whatever the others are doing there.

Perhaps that tiny house idea Janis was planning wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

How’d Janis wind up on the floor? I’m sure Arlo would rather wind up in bed with her; but even he knows this won’t go anywhere.

They walked into each other trying to find out where the other was. Not that I’ve ever done that myself of course…..
