At one time, I wouldn’t be caught dead in a thrift store — most clothes were made in America by Union labor. Now I do most of my shopping there — I figure I’m giving the Chinese sweatshop owners a poke in the eye.
Good on you Lucky! I really like thrift stores, pawn shops, yard and garage sales. I can usually afford new items, but the three R’s drive my shopping. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. One local shop hires handicapped folks, so we shop there a lot. Even the Christmas tree and all of the ornaments came from a thrift store, spent less than 30 bucks.
Very true; unfortunately, dumb people, led around by the nose by corporate propaganda, think they have to have the latest fashions or else they are somehow lesser people. Pathetic.

Or go to Goodwill. Option number two and my option are the ones my family does.
