There are a lot of kids who succeed even the the worst schools in the country. It’s more a factor of parental support, children’s desire and drive to learn, and refusing to use the many excuses available to not take responsibilities for one’s own actions. This applies across the board of ethnicity, refusing to play the race card for your own failure is a major plus. All you have to do is see the many Haitian, Nigerian and Hispanic immigrants children who are at the tops of their classes.

Germany, Japan and Finland have a 200 to 220 day school year. They regularly eat our lunch.
