I am thinking that it is the amount of chocolate that is ingested v the dog’s weight.Long ago and far away I had a Chessy that for some reason had loose stools. The vet told me to add just a teaspoon of coco powder to his food. And yes it did tighten him up but did not sicken him.I am not diminishing the danger, but I have known dogs that ate whole bags of chocolate with no ill effects.
We had a large Lab mix dog who ate most of a big pan of brownies. He didn’t get sick, but he was so wired he couldn’t relax for 36 hours. Poor baby. Dog #4 looks like that.
The brownies are based on a true story. Another dog I know ate an entire ham that was sitting in the sink. It came down to brownies or ham. Brownies won… they’re a bit funnier, no?
“Yeah, that one on the far right; who can’t even look me in the eye! Yes, that’s the one, Officer!”The (guilty) dog: “Yeesh! She’s been reading detective novels again!”

I don’t know, the fourth one looks kind of suspicious, but he isn’t looking as guilty as he normally does.

The one that looks very ill. Brownies contain chocolate. Chocolate is supposedly poison to dogs.

P.S. The dog was fine… but VERY guilty. And a bit of a tummy ache to go along with it.

My two dogs will both take the blame for anything thinking I won’t punish both of them. WRONG! Both get punished!
