My dachshund likes everything we eat . . . but she L O V E S candy corn. We have candy corn every Halloween and she is relentless to prying it out of our fists when we grab a handful. She only gets it as a treat but we have to ration it.
My parents’ dachshund likes popcorn. When she hears Dad fixing it, she gets a drink of water and plays with her ball until he brings it in. Then she mooches from Mom, and when Mom’s bowl is empty, she turns around and mooches from Dad.
My husband tells me that when he was a kid he would eat a bit of his Halloween candy every day until it was gone.
I would have some on Halloween and then put it away in my bedroom closet for when I wanted some again. (Mom did not give us dinner on Halloween as she figured we would be stuffed from the candy anyway.) Sometime in, say, June or August or such, I would be told to clean out my closet and there would be the leftover candy, untouched since Halloween! It would have to be tossed of course.

Naw, three months is about right for perfectly aged Halloween candy ; )

Halloween candy. Candy corn and circus peanuts should be essentially unchanged after three months.
