Since I’ve already predicted that 3-D is the bum and I’m looking pretty stupid now, I might as well go all the way and predict that 3-D is the bum and the tattoo was a duplicate he put on the corpse guy so he could disappear.

I may become the first person determined to be too dumb to follow this strip.

Mrs. 3D’s phone is now buttonless! A smartphone?

3D was a billionaire and had the tattoo done at Tattoos Forever, the famed fifth avenue boutique tattoo salon. Sailors and ordinary people can’t afford such as that.

I’m glad you explained that, VistaBill. I just didn’t think that billionaires were found of butterfly tattoos, especially large ones…

Mrs. 3D ought to recognize those clown feet from a mile away. Especially the right one with the tag on its toe.

Even under that tarp the body is obviously a woman. Her breasts stick out as far as her feet.

Those BODY ‘CUBICLES’ at the Morgue - sure LOOK just like those GLASS windows on the new Police H.Q. building.

Perhaps BROZMAN thinks that Locher’s Naperville Police are just as DEAD as those that rest in the Morgue (?)

Like you, I think 3-D is alive (or dead elsewhere) !

But he’s not the “street begger” — that’s what Locher wants you to THINK. He’s given SOFT clues to point readers there. And shortly he’ll give even MORE. The intention is to mislead or as they say in tennis - ”WRONG-FOOT” ! the readers.

I have no evidence to prove this point - but we will see in due course.

In a similar 1957 case (which I think ‘inspired’ this one - many similarities) Claude Crystal’s body was dead and frozen at home in a freezer locker.

Look for something equally bizarre to happen.

FS–obviously a lighter-than-air gas has built up beneath the sheet and is supporting the body. Most likely methane (CH4, molecular weight 16, vs. about 30 for air)… which means the body’s really decomposed a lot, or 3D had beans for his last meal.

His feet looked pretty solid for a badly decomposed body. Good enough to tie a tag to.

Actually we found a tattoo. This is what we want you to identify. There happened to be a body attached to it but we’re not worried about that.

How tactful of Macy telling Mrs. 3D to come to the morgue over the phone. Briscoe and Logan always drove them to an fro.

I guess we’re all suppose to forget that Tracy asked Mrs D to go to his house the other day for no apparent reason. Another Locher brain fart.

I like how Tracy breaks the news to her that her hubby is dead. “We found the body! C’mon down and ID it! Bring chips!”
