OK, I think I have answered some of my own questions. Brant Parker & Johnny Hart both died in April of 2007.

So my next questions are “Who has been doing the strip for the last eight years?” and “Why did it change a few months ago?”

Mason Mastroianni has only recently taken on the art chores. The previous Parker was related to Brant Parker, but wasn’t Brant himself..I do recall when the King looked like the top half of a playing card, and not a grape.
