But Hayes’ facial hair was the most noteworthy thing about him!

The pop-up book aspect IS particularly creative and noteworthy.

Wow! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better than a shoebox diorama, along comes Petey Otterloop! Well done, my clever lad! Even Alice approves!

The current lack of presidential beards is unfortunate. A poor crew of candidates today. Bush – would probably have to borrow one from his brother. Cruz – afraid he’ll look like Fidel. Sanders – already has lefty problems without looking like Karl Marx. Rubio – we won’t know until he gets through puberty. Trump – beards simply won’t grow in poison soil. Hillary – might well be presidential beard material. She’s got the huevos.

Hayes once beat an entire Confederate regiment senseless using only his beard.

Riiight, so you talked about Rutherford B. Hayes’s beard. What’s next? Abraham Lincoln’s hat?
