He was just too cheesy….. Don’t watch TV, and the stuff I glimpse off and on (volunteer at a senior residence) does not entice me at all!

Go ahead, Nab, I’ll read every word and agree or disagree. But you have the right to say what you will. Besides, if the strip isn’t funny, maybe you will be.

They need to keep the Soap Operas - on those, at least, you knew exactly what to expect…

I got rid of our TV 15 years ago. Newspaper and Time 10 years ago. Everytime there was a story where I had inside information (like relatives in Israel, Dad lives on the Mexican border), they were lying through their teeth. I see on the internet they still get caught in whoppers ever now and then, and are still suppressing the important news (climate gate, panther gate, etc) and wildly exaggerating stuff (BP oil spill - the BP president was right), but their remaining customers don’t seem to care.

I now get World magazine (http://www.worldmag.com). I find myself thinking, “that’s not the whole story” sometimes, but at least they are not lying.

Well, at least we can narrow down the possibilities as to where they are (see also the disambiguation link).

This would give a whole new meaning to Food Network’s “Chopped”.

Speaking of food prep, someone please quantify “dice” and “cube” for me. Measures and “to taste” I understand but things like dice, chop, cube and pinch escape this old engineer’s comprehension.

Gives “salad” a whole new meaning.
