See I’d laugh, but I seriously think Manziel gets the professional help he needs, before it’s too late.

I still think Blatter was a bigger jerk.

Bah, don’t like Manziel, was quite annoyed when the Browns drafted him, but SJotY? Really? Couldn’t come up with anyone better?All Manziel ever did was party too much and not be as good at the game as he thought he was. Well, and maybe beat his girlfriend, but if that’s all it takes for SJotY, we can award it to half the pros out there. He’s a jerk all right, but compared to someone like Blatter, he’s small potatoes.

Remember, most of the voters are likely American, and FIFA is just not that big of a deal in the US, but NFL style football is approaching the state of a national religion and Manziel took a huge leak all over the field.

The really strange thing about this boy is after 2 years on an NFL roster nobody knows yet if he can play quarterback at the NFL level.

I suspect Blatter did what he normally did – rig the votes in his favor…

Johnny should have been the honorable mention. Blatter & Goodell are definitely worse.

This is ridiculous. Both of the runners-up had much more impact on their sports than Manziel did on his.

Basically he had none except on the fans in one city.

He does not deserve to be honored in this way. True, he is a jerk, but he’s just an infantile jerk not an important jerk.

Sorry, Goodell is certainly a better candidate for SJOTY. Can’t change my vote, and after further review, my vote still stands. That waste of skin is the biggest jerk in Football, and runs the show on top of it. OF course, I’d be dishonest if I didn’t mention Blatter in the same category (well said, Archipelago) -even though its not as big in the U.S., FIFA Football (soccer to us) is played world-wide.

Yes, Johnny is a jerk, but I really am starting to feel bad for his parents. Rich or not, whether they enabled him or not by spoiling him rotten, they are still parents who love their son, and he is on a collision course for a very short life. I feel bad for his parents and hope Johnny will get the help he needs. Only Johnny can do that, as much as his parents want to, Johnny has to want it more.

Pro wrestling is showbiz, not a sport, and it’s been a long time since Donald Trump was involved in that fake sport, but now he’s involved in fake politics, so……..a lifetime Lack Of Achievement Award?

Goodell and Blatter have been on the world stage for years, and should just get Lifetime Achievement Awards for their sports jerkery, but NO ONE has so badly dominated the sports headlines in America the last year like Manziel.

I for one hope that Tank has pulled a “Steve Harvey” and mixed 1st runner up and Winner.

SJOY is an award that Septic Bladder has unfortunately (for Soccer) earned.

The funny thing is, I think the rest of America is more fascinated with Manziel than Cleveland is. Most Clevelanders just sigh, roll their eyes and wait for the Browns to get another QB. Heck, half his alleged antics never even make the local papers and it’s not because they’re covering for him, they’re pretty united on the need for the Browns to move on and have been since at least the midpoint of the season.
