    My family’s cats were fed in the morning, so the cat was more likely to wake you up than make you stay in bed.

    My dog does the same thing, as soon as the alarm goes off she moves to lay across my legs. When I tell her I have to get up she picks up her head, looks at me, and then lays back down as if to say we should stay in bed.
