Joe if bee stings Ruthie get mom. For waspe stings my mom had me use an old family healing remedy. Yellow box some baking soda, teaspoon or tablespoon and water for paste, put the finger or hand that’s been stung in it.
Bees are civilized & attack only when threatened. Let them be & they’ll let you. I was explaining to a lady friend, & to help illustrate my point, one landed between my eyes. It walked around my forehead then left. Another time I pulled a friend from the middle of an attacking swarm of killer bees. He had 80 stings, I got none. Remain calm, no sudden moves, nothing threatening.
Chuck- I totally agree. I’m often surrounded by bees when filling my bird feeder and have no problems with them. I stopped wearing scents (unless going out to an evening event- and then only a little).

The bee may die but the sting still hurts, and we don’t know if Ruthie is allergic to be venom.
