I don’t think she wants a boyfriend even tho she’s apparently straight.BTW, yesterdays was completely different in the Chicago Sun Timesthan either Arcamax or gocomics.com.

Right now her plan seems juvenile, but teens often do a step back for every few forward.

Bernice had absolutely no interest in Gunther when she thought Piro was with Tiffany. Why should she now have any interest in Gunther if Piro is in fact with Tiffany, since that’s just what she believed all along? Bernice will still have a crush on Piro, and Gunther will still be standing in the hall. Can we move on to something interesting now?

The last frame is really interesting. Gunther seems as tightly wrapped as the little gift next to him on the couch, and the picture of Tiffany overlooks all…

She needs time to make herself look pretty.Nice of her to let him have a picture of her to remember he is not interested in her..Teasing is a bit dangerous. Some can only hear the implied “yes” not the explicit “no.”

Piro comes by while Gunther is sitting on the couch, next to the gift. Piro thinks Gunther has a gift for him. Piro now thinks Gunther is hot for him, and…. surprise! Piro is interested.

This scheme has more holes than a golf course… Also Tiffany had better be ready for Piro showing no interest…

This is interesting. Seems her tease (Aaron, Quill, Dirk) has failed in the past, but we know that Gunther can feel heat for Tiffany. Where did the gift come from? How will Bernice react when she sees the sign? When will Gunther learn that no chemistry is no chemistry?

Does anyone think that the last panel echos the FIRST time he waited for her (after their foray into the wetlands for their Bio Lab)- which lead to them having a “moment”? Personally, I think it’s going to happen again.

I have a hunch that Gunther’s eyes are going to get very large tomorrow.

I think she likes Gunther. She is going to make herself look really beautiful to make Gunther actually take notice and then he will stop her before she gets to Piro.

Oh, people this is a set up. Piro will come in, see Gunther with the present beside him and assume Gunther is gay, and makes a play for him just as Tiff walks back in the room.

No one can argue that Tiffany is not smart. She definitely has skills that will help her in the world.

It is Tiffany’s room, so obviously the sign is from her. The question is What is in the package? It is too small for a roll-up bed, and I don’t know if he needs any more scarves. It would have to be something that Piro would want. Maybe some noise cancelling headphones?

It looks like Gunther is having second thoughts here.

I am picturing something that will have no effect whatsoever on Piro… yet (hopefully) will have Gunther even more high-strung than usual.

Good Lord! The way she already looks plus 25 minutes dedicated specifically to getting hotter looking. Gunther is going to be reduced to a quivering gelatinous mass when he feasts his eyes on that.

How did Tiffany get a gift so fast? This is the same day as when they first started talking about Piro, so she did not have a chance to prepare any gift.

I don’t think the 25 minutes of Prep are to make herself any hotter. Piro has not noticed or cared about how she looks so far, so looking hotter would not help. She has something else planned. Maybe she plans to make herself look like a homeless bum so Piro can relate to her better.

Today’s dorms have ‘suites’ as well as rooms. Bernice and Dez also have a suite. Not like when I was in school.

I think what is going on here is that Tiffany has developed an interest in Gunther. She doesn’t care about Piro. This is a ploy to heat up Gunther. Opposites attract and you can’t get more opposite than Tiffany and Gunther.

Again, I don’t think this is fair to Piro— using him as a foil, leading him on with no payoff.

This whole “plot” would be a waste of time. Despite her malapropism (thermodramatics), Tiff is relationship smart and has come to respect Gunther and his willingness to help her. Gunther has finally noticed that an attractive girl is being selfless on his behalf. Let them stop, take a look at their unlikely, but mutual attraction and just agree to “hang out” together for awhile. This could really be the best pairing since Knute and Crystal. It will make most of the readers happy to see something nice happening, instead of the sterile, boring Luann-Quill battle over each other’s priorities. Bring something positive back to the strip. Something to cheer for.

The only reason for Tiffany to want Gunther to sit there for 15 minutes is that he is the presumptive target of her tease attack (T and A, I guess), which I support in order to see Gunth. slip entirely off the sofa in a cascade of sweat.

I too like Seismic’s comments (as is true that I also liked Implausible’s comments when he used to be here… I hope he can return sometime).To me, comments that are analytical and attempt to delve more deeply into the characters are very interesting to me. I like so many comments from so many folks here.The only comments I tend to dislike are the “First” comments, those comments that purposefully hurt other commenter’s feelings, and those comments that PURPOSEFULLY try to be obnoxious, crude, or obscene .

I especially like how Greg drew the “sideways” look for Tiffany.I do not recall Tiffany’s publicity photos (what I thought she had hung on the wall behind the couch) had her look like a fitness trainer (sort of like Jillian Michaels with blonde hair). The photo has an almost aggressive quality to it. I wonder if this was Greg suggesting that Tiffany is “on a mission” so-to-speak. If so, a very creative use of changing imagery.

For Piro the advice, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” applies. We can guess — and will guess — all we want but the reality is that with so little data there are still many options in relation to that character.

Gunth is her target. Just wait and see. Gunth will not have her tease Piro. He don’t know it yet, but he will

If you are speaking of Implausible, I would suggest you look back and notice that a large number of the folks you currently talk with on the forum did enjoy most of his comments. No, not all, but most. You know, I just now noticed that your reply was @Schrodinger’s Dog and not @ae2. So some of the above is worded as if you were directing your comments to me rather than Dog. Anyway, hope you get what I’m trying to get across here. I definitely think that the mods were justified in their actions in this case, especially considering his two previous banned incarnations and his unwarranted returns each time after being banned. (You didn’t really answer that question that I posed about “breaking out of jail” and circumventing the ban, I noticed.) But anyhow…hope you take what I said above into consideration and at least think a bit about the possibility that there is a reality here and a gravity to the situation that you’re just not recognizing, or perhaps accepting. The mods saw it. Three times, they saw it, and took action on it. They made the decision based upon what I am sure were multiple complaints, and also, I know for a fact, what was months of monitoring this poster’s behavior. They gave him a chance — 1178 posts worth of a chance — before finally giving him that third strike. Please also consider that fact.Thanks.

ae 2… Thank you for your last two comments. From them I can understand your perspective more clearly. I may no t agree with your opinion, but I can indeed understand it more now. I also thank you for responding in a way that did not attempt to make me adopt your opinion by insinuating negative things about me as a person if I did not agree with you. That was the beef I have had with Schrodinger’s Dog and his comments to me within this thread. When I did not ascribe to his way of thinking, he thought it appropriate to denigrate aspects of my work and my integrity… things he know nothing about nor things that are appropriate to accuse me of. That is why my ire was up.

I’ll remove my previous post, as these new posts say what I want to get across, but say it better.

The assumption would be that they were abusing the system, which would send all of THEIR POSTS to the Purgatory stream, leaving behind only a note saying POST BY X BANISHED with a link to read it and consider if it was deserving of such condemnation..Nothing would be lost. Nothing would be actually banned, just sidetracked. Everybody would have a say. (at least until they were banned and even then, enough friends might pull them out of the fiery pit.).If it worked out, perhaps we could apply it to the judiciary system in the real world……

These characters are not translating well to consenting adults. I wonder if Mr Evans is struggling with this, or just not giving it much thought.
