Im hoping they break up because nate doesn’t seem very happy about this relationship and how its affecting him

Oooh, ouch. We just returned to the initial issue … where Trudy specifically said “I would never …” when it came to acting like that towards sixth graders, and now she is doing just that. Nate got the strength in argument here (unfortunately), and she is going to feel it – or not give a damn and be with some seventh grader.

Do hope she gets smarter and realises her mistake in this regard, since they are good together (minus her “friends”).

Can’t believe i’m saying this but please break up.

I don’t like where this relationship is going! By the looks of it, Nate is being far more tolerant and mature than Trudy, who is supposed to be a bit older than Nate! Come on Trudy, grow up for real, not just to be on “the cool side.”

This won’t end well.

I like where this is going. Maybe this will help Nate become a little more mature and realize this relationship isn’t for him and he will be happy with the decision to say goodbye to Trudy.

At last, Nate is speaking up! I’m kind of shocked about Trudy, though. The only reason Nate wasn’t hanging out with his friends is because he and Trudy had made prior plans, not because Trudy didn’t want to hang out with sixth-graders. This is out of character for her.

On a darker note… It snowed last night, and school isn’t even being delayed! I was counting on a snow day! Have there ever been snow days in Big Nate history?

@JackiAnneI agree with that. Also, Nate mentions Dee Dee among his friends. She appeared in the comic only two months ago…suddenly she’s one of Nate’s best friends. Who knows, maybe off-screen she and Nate are great friends. We just don’t have any real evidence from the comic strip, which is different from the book series (obviously we know why she and Nate are friends in the novels.)

I pretty much lost all of my liking of Trudy when she abandoned Nate at the party to do her nails. She knew he didn’t know anyone there and that the 7th graders were pretty rude, almost to the point of bullying, to 6th graders. It was an extremely rude and inconsiderate move on her part. I think the writing was pretty much on the wall then. Maybe there’s hope if Nate speaks up and she has the sense to listen to what he says.

Nate will probably just explain why he wants to sit with HIS friends and not seventh graders. Knowing the kind of person Trudy is, I hope she won’t mind.

So just remains to be seen if she can be brought back from the dark side. :p

So what’s she trying to prove, anyway? I don’t believe she wants Nate for who Nate is, but rather something else…?

But anyways, good job Nate! Finally getting the courage to speak up, I see!

You know, Trudy being so inconsiderate like this makes me really wish they’d break up. I happily supported them in the beginning, but now I’m beginning to see that Nate should consider ending this relationship and move on with his life.

He’s actually trying…so hard…..but he needs to learn to communicate, learn about compromising, and share that concept with Trudy.

I think Nate is about to rethink his relationship with Trudy. Sometimes all your friends are more important than one friend.
