Back in 1999, I had a JH Principal where I was teaching that had been working on his Mom’s roof. He started to get off the roof, onto a ladder, stepping on the very top step. Yes, the one that says, ‘NOT a step’.The ladder flipped, hit the ground, then he landed on the ladder, breaking several ribs on his left side and puncturing his left lung. He survived, but he had to be air-lifted to the hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
