Alice: Why didn't Petey want to come see the Little Oopsie movie? He likes Little Oopsie books. Mom: He said movies in 3-D make him nervous. Alice: It's starting! Read what it says! Mom: "Little Oopsie: Makin' Faces - 3-D!" Alice: Ew. Mom: Ick. Alice: Eeg. Mom: Yikes. Alice: Look out! Mom: Spit Bubble! Alice: Duck! Mom: Hide! Alice: Is it over? Mom: Let's go home. Alice: In the books it's cute when Little Oopsie bugs out his eyes, lolls his tongue, drools or spits up. The movie made me fear for my life. Petey: I tried to warn you.

You got that right, sometimes the Big Brother gets it right, but with Petey, its’ very hard to judge.

Another case of the book being better than the movie.

If it’s a 3-D movie shouldn’t they be wearing 3-D glasses?!!

3-D movies are as bad as colorized daily comic strips. See today’s Ziggy for a clever take on this subject.

In the Soviet Union, they once released a version of Robinson Crusoe in 3-D that didn’t require glasses. I wish they would adopt a glasses-free version today; I hate those glasses.

Arthur Allen, I am from belarus and I recently found this comic and I emjoy it.
I am also an engineer and the 3D TV without glasses is not far away,

Four thumbs down…

There’ve been a few 3D movies that have used the technology to enhance the storytelling rather than just as a gimmick. Personally, I think it works best when the extra dimension carries the eye into the movie, rather than makes things pop out of it; open up the space behind the plane of the screen, and I can do without the intrusion into the space in front of it.

Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS is a game system that has 3D with no glasses. I’d love it if I could watch a movie without those plastic shades, too. Someday…
