Man, Rat made it so complicated. Shoulda just stopped at partying with donors.

Quit whining about congress as if it isn’t our own fault. Congress is the people WE elected. If you don’t want the laws written so that the rich folks can buy the elections, look up your congressman and senator in OPEN SECRETS.com. It tells you where his/her money is coming from. We all have to do the bidding of who ever is supplying the money to pay our bills. So do politicians. If most of their money is coming from individuals, unions, or other organizations representing the Middle Class, that is who they are going to work for. If most of their money is from banks, etc, they are going to work for the 1%. They don’t really have any choice if they want to win the next election. To vote against the 1% would be political suicide.

Even when there was less “big money”, they weren’t much better.

Missing a few steps: after the outrage, a new department/bureau or program is created. Taxes go up except for those party goers. More parties. Inevitably “unintended” (totally foreseeable) consequences cause even more problems than the original issue. NOW go back to CRISIS.

… and this goes a long way to explaining why Donald Trump is about to win the Republican nomination for U.S. President …

As much as I despise “The Donald” it amazes me how uninformed some posters here are. If you read even a little you’ll find that Trump has far fewer big money people than the others hoping to be our prez.(Yes Hillarry Wall St. I’m looking at you.)

They have the money and we’re dumb enough to believe the ads.

I am always amused by those who think there should be a Constitutional Amendment that sets term limits to the U.S. Senate/Congress. That’s a lazy approach to the issue. If you don’t like a certain member, then vote them out. Quit complaining, get off your asbestos and, vote the person out.

Stephan: I’ve been reading the Sunday comics since 1947. I’ve had many favorites over the years However: Yours is my current favorite. You often have a great strip but todays was one of your best. Keep up the good work. oldbuck

For once, I did NOT laugh at this one. Too true…..and scary. My problem is…you listen to everything a candidate has to say, you WANT to believe him/her. You vote, hoping for the best. but the outcome is always the same.So…how in HELL do you find someone who is willing to change things? And….enough of them at one time?

Too many Pigs out there. Not enough term limits!

It is sad but true.

The longer they are in, the less of a chance they have of winning the presidency. Obama did very little that has his name on it in the senate. To be fair, freshman senators follow the longer term senators, but his political life was a blank slate, hence he did nothing wrong. What he did that was right was to be against W’s war.Jimmy Carter was run by his party because he was also squeeky clean. Jimmy Carter wasn’t dirty enough to play with the big boys, so he did not win re-election. Sadly, Obama was able to play this game – my opinion is that he is slipperier than Tricky Dick.

And this is exactly why so many are turning out for Trump. He is an outsider. We have nothing to lose, because an insider will do exactly like the comic strip above portrays.

And now one of those big donors wants to be POTUS. And 30% of Republicans and about 7% of Democrats want him to be POTUS! Crazy stuff.
