I’ve never known how Duck Duck Goose is played.

unfortunately, the game is no longer played on account some child accuses another child of being “hit too hard” and parents take it to the principal and then there is an abuse file.. yadda yadda yadda..

I always told the kids that they could only go around the circle twice, or they were auto-out. Of course if they chose me as goose, I had long legs that just couldn’t make it around a tight circle like their younger shorter legs could.

And some people need to learn not to be so aggressive when they play. Bullies will use ANY excuse they can get for hurting someone — or were YOU yourself perhaps the one who did the bullying?

The reason Wilt left the Globetrotters … to make room for Goose.

Just so no one gooses someone’s behind.

We played it with chairs and when the music stopped you had to find one. each time they’d pick up one chair so each time some one was eliminated.Our school didn’t allow bullying. The kids that did got what they deserved Post Haste! Dont tell me they’ve gotten rid of Dodge ball! it was one of my favorite games :( taking away the fun because some would spoil it? that works real well.. I’m Glad I lived in the 50’s before all the fun was outlawed. we didn’t have “baby seats” that cause cancer – like now.

I always thought it was Duck, Duck, Gray Duck…
