Frazz: That is one big coffee. Mrs. Olsen: Up all night doing my taxes. But it's ok because I'm getting a refund. I can't explain if you don't understand. Caulfield: I do! Here's Friday's worksheet I did this morning I'll be getting an A on.

Waiting for last minute to get a refund? I doubt it. No for those that have to pay….yep.BTW: I heard on some TV ad this morning that the average refund is $3k . Um…no never mind….

Average $3K refund? Thanks to all people who somehow think max withholding is something like a savings account. That pays no interest.

Taxes and elections.Nobody ever said they have to make sense. They just have to happen.

My adjusted gross income was $7000…I still had to pay State an extra $200. :-(

Look it up….We have the lowest income taxes in the civilized world. But our corporate taxes are the highest in the world, (after Japan)….Don’t ask me for a solution….

If you’re getting a big refund it’s because you gave the government a big zero-interest loan. (Not that interest means much these days). But still, nothing to be proud of.

How does Caulfield turning in a worksheet late correspond to filing your taxes on time?
Sometimes Mallett is so self-righteous he loses the audience.

Didn’t he handled taxes when he had his incredibly brief yet prosperous music career?

I always waited until early April if I owed, and filed as early as I could for a refund. No last minutes for me. Now, I file early because I always get a refund. My 401K withholding is at a rate fixed by law, and it’s way too high.
