Wow, is Charlie Brown this weak in every strip lol (Well he is only like six years old.) I surely wasn’t throwing baseballs at six. In fact, I didn’t even own one yet.

I really like some of the Peanuts Strips with the discussions that Charlie Brown and Schroeder have at the Pitcher’s mound, so it’s really neat to see the first strip with Schroeder playing catcher. Amazing it came this early in the comic’s life.

It looks like this game of baseball turned into a game of golf.

Is this the first strip with CB pitching?

That’s ok, someday you will be pitching all home runs.

Interesting that CB pitches to the right in this strip (like the “camera” is at third base) when the typical pitch is to the left later on (“camera” at first base).

Lucy would’ve swung at that pitch!

So, this is where his lousy pitching days begin.
