    Seeing as there’s also braille sheet music, makes me wonder how blind musicians play and read in union. Simple: they too practice a lot… but also try to memorize the braille they feel before they play the part.

    My sister used to play the violin. Her first instrument was a horrible rented cheapie that had been through too many hands before hers. Her later teacher told her if she could play on that, she could play on anything!

    And I’m close enough to being of that generation to know that, apart from not having black keys and having only a handful of white keys, it’s not a piano at all, but a toy celeste, with metal bars instead of strings.
