This is why, many years later, they invented kites without sticks. They can crash without breaking.

If you can dribble a kite then you can dribble a basketball.

He’s just stringing it along at this point.

CB took “never look back” too seriously.

Look back in bewilderment ….

It is notoriously difficult to launch a kite all by yourself, especially if you are a kid CB’s age. This I know from experience. Unless you’re having gale-force winds, in which case a kite lasts about this long anyway.

I’d say “Special Effects by Derek Meddings,” except there wasn’t a large chunk flying towards the camera. ;-)
