Surely a 50s game if ever there was one. Lucy would put Tsar Bomba to shame.

Yeah, I don’t think they’ve got enough shielding there.

At least that’s one thing Lucy is good at!

This is about the only way CB and Lucy can have a blast together.

A dark reminder of what life was like in the 50’s & early 60’s. I presume this was before the Cuban missile crisis.

That’s not a game you see many children play anymore.

Yeah… that’s about right.

Frankly, weaponized Lucy is more frightening than anything Oak Ridge or Los Alamos can come up with…

This is a very dark strip.

Imagine how some parents might react if kids did this today.

They picked the right person to do the sound effect.

In its day, this was probably seen as patriotic.

Who knew nuclear conflagration could be funny?

Lucy is perfect for that!

Maybe it’s an air hose and it’s up her butt, hard to see…

Wasn’t this strip originally ran the same year the first Godzilla movie came out?

Wow, this got serious all of a sudden!!!

Duck and Cover, I recall thinking how silly it was. From what I had seen of the above ground nuclear tests we would be wiped out if we are above ground. And I was in 4th grade! Between that and the air raid siren at noon every Friday I was happy when they stopped. Wasn’t till in the 1970’s when everyone figured out we weren’t going into the last war so quickly. We are still in danger now as long as over 4,000 nuclear warheads still exist.

You might have known Lucy plays the H-bomb.
