uhmm, how did they get part way down?? I think they are just missing the gravitational constant -G hasn’t been developed accurately yet???

How did things stay on the planet before Newton invented gravity?

According to Einstein, gravity doesn’t suck; you’re being pushed down a hole by the weight of the universe.

What Newton actually wondered was why an apple fell toward the center of the earth rather than toward a nearby mountain, for example, or at least he used it that way as an example..From this he decided all mass must attract all other mass and the force of attraction was proportional to the products of the masses and inversely proportional to the distance between centers of masses..Based on these assumptions he was able to predict the orbital motions of planets, moons, Apollo spacecraft (not that he did, but others used his work and THEY did) with extreme accuracy.

About time the king establishes the law of gravity.
