There’s no worse pain that the pain we inflict on ourselves by stupidity ! I’m nursing a nasty torn blister from bushwhacking with a machete on Sunday.The old man just had to show the sons how to properly wield a machete to quickly clear the brush and vines on the large property lots we recently purchased.Surprisingly I’m not stiff or sore from all the work but should have worn a glove – hence the nasty blister and tender finger. Dumb ! I know better. When I lived in Florida, it was a never ending battle with the palmetto, kudzu, poison ivy, trumpet vines, and other assorted nuisances on my property there. The machete got a lot of use.

My own redo for today’s strip. Please read it all before criticizing.

We are having widespread flooding in Houston right now. My particular area seems to be immune to flooding however.
