Cats should like SPAM..Why?Most people don’t know SPAM is an Acronym/Squirrels, Possums, And MiceSPAM..

But I don’t like Spam! :^)

The only thing i don’t like about Spam is the salt level.On the other hand, the salt level is that high because salt is the primary preservative.The Sodium Nitrate is actually not there as a preservative. It is there to stop the meat from turning dark when the product is cooked in the can.

During WW2 a Soviet copy of spam was about the only meat protein that from line Red Army soldiers got. Khrushchev said it was instrumental in wining the war in the east.

Good morning, everyone. I went back and read yesterday’s comments. Great pics then and so far today.Bbear, I’m sorry to hear you are in so much pain and hope the new meds ease it.To all of you out there who have multiple cats and foster, I want you to know you are heroes in my book! I would love to have a second cat but a) apartment is not big enough and b) Yum Yum is too territorial to accept another cat.

Laughingkitty, welcome to our corner of Gocomics. I am in awe of anyone who takes in foster kitties such as you and others like QueenofAmerica and give them a home.Thanks for all the well wishes. Unfortunately, their seem to be good days and not-so-good days. Being a male, I am trying not to use the pain medication yet. (I only got 20 pills so I better wait until it gets really, really bad). Until then, my cat and your nice comments will see me through.

re: Spam, I like it too, and now there are so many flavors. Don’t eat it a lot, it is a special treat every now and then.

LROS, a friend and her hubby were stationed in Hawaii for a couple years. Yes, that is a typical breakfast in Hawaii. Hawaiians love Spam I understand. It’s like their State Symbol, :-D!

The main reason I don’t tell co-workers or others that I have more than 20 cats is that they start asking “Doesn’t it cost you a lot for cat food, etc?” I don’t ask them how much it costs them for their (human) kids. Why do people think it’s okay to ask how much I spend on MY kids? It’s MY money and I spend it on things that are important to me. That would be my “kids”.

Anyway, I have never looked at Breaking Cat News (just did for the first time yesterday). Other comics I like are Pickles (love the cat, Muffin), Sam & Silo (love their cat, Jasper) And because I work in Retail. I love the strip Retail. Out of computer time – must run.

bbearMy favorite today is the “sunbathing” one. Although it is too close to home, lolI hope you are feeling better SOON. I know what you mean about the pills, the ads on tv are enough to scare everyone away from ever taking anything, but like I said my SIL takes what you were given, and functions very well on it.
