I got transferred inland when I was with the company. I was doing alright until one day I had to go to the local landfill for some aspect of my job. There was a mound of white sand and there was a gull standing on top of it. Tears came to my eyes and I could only say " JD go home!" over and over. The local fellow I was there with looked at me and said " Made you homesick?"I made up my mind right then that I had to get back home.

Don’t get caught taking gulls across the state line for illegal purposes.

Yeah, I remember feeding them some old bread in the park; one of them jumped up with a Bwaack!, literally snatching that chunk in midair!
