“I wonder if Ignatz likes cigars”? For the younger crowd, Ignatz was the mouse who alkways hurled bricks at his nemesis, Krazy Kat in the early 1900’s comic strip. LOL, Team Tracy!

The mouse’s message is (of course) in hexadecimal. Some engineers I worked with could read that out loud, but I used an online hex to ascii tool to convert “6E 69 62 62 6C 65” to “nibble”.

Matty and Glitch look too much alike. I predict Matty’s consciousness will break out and inhabit Glitch at some point.

Doc Glitch did too good a job. It’s only a matter of time before Matty starts asking awkward questions about his dream, and why he can’t leave it.

It may or may not be the craziest dream, but it’s surely one of the craziest DT story lines!

What will the AI do when he finds out “He isn’t Matty. He never will be Matty. He never was Matty. He’s just a ghost.” (Paraphrasing Alan Moore’s classic “Saga of the Swamp Thing #21” from 1984.)

Can’t help it I just had to go to my ASCII and found out our little mouse friend was saying:“SQUEAK” & “NIBBLE”. Remember: Two nibbles make one byte!

Ignatz said, “nibble!”, in hex of course!

I am just a material guy, and all this time being spent in a digital reality is beginning to bend my senses. But Matty is an avatar of Glitch, I think, and when he comes to realize it—and he will—, little nerdlet in-jokes about mice and cheese will suddenly not seem so funny anymore. This is the calm before the storm….
