So many great books, so little time…

Different starting point but he ends up at the same spot as Clyde (aka C-Dog) in Candorville.

Heck, when I walk into my own library and even start to consider what it would take to adequately peruse all of the volumes therein, I come face to face with my mortality…

He’s probably reading every day-TV Guide.

Its been quite a while since Gilligan’s Island has been a staple on TBS, probably at least 15 plus years but I think it appears on MeTV from time to time now….

I’ve read about that many and more.

“Publik”?

Like a “right” whinger would be caught dead in there.

I’ve been reading a lot more in the last couple of years. I’ve gotten into a lot of autobiographies of some of my favorite artists & performers: Clapton, Frampton, Fleetwood, Daltry, Gary Sinise, Jimmy Webb, Chrissy Metz, Patti Boyd…plus getting caught up on some Stephen King…throw it a little other fiction…I’ve really been enjoying it.

They always say be careful what you ask for…

There are some awful books in the library, Ayn Rand comes to mind.

I still remember the smell of the public library I went to as a child. That musty old book smell was heavenly.

So Opus has decided to turn over a new leaf. Unfortunately, it is the leaf to the dining room table.

The spirit is willing but the mind is weak…

We haven’t made a lot of progress

I still use the public library, but it’s mostly e-books that I read on my iPad Mini.

Libraries and bookstores (the few that remain!) are MAJORILY DAMNGEROUS, because they are so damned difficult TO GET OUT OF! ;)

He could wave over a tall librarian with a ladder and make a request…

I wonder if Opus would be an internet addict nowadays. My guess is, he would.

How weak was my penguin!

It’s nice that Opus came ’round in the future and was shown hanging out with a book by Harper Lee.

This is hitting a bit too close to home. Good reminder.
