I remember this time in history – the US bombed Libya and ended up causing some “collateral damage” – including hitting a school and killing one of Kadaffi’s children.
He swore vengeance upon Americans – he vowed to kill American children and bomb American schools.
I was a Navy dependent attending DGF High School, in Rota Spain, at the time. We were the closest American school with American children to Libya. Right across the Mediterranean sea. We expected to be bombed – but we still went to school every day.

From 1986. 36 years and the U.S. hasn’t learned anything about alienating the civilian populace and creating more terrorists. BTW, I’m a Vietnam vet.

The contract for that feature didn’t get through. The bid was for hundreds of millions of dollars and at that price was considered frivolous.
