It’s all about sales not about truth. Just as true then as it is now.

People do get HIV heterosexually, just not often enough to make it an epidemic.

Some of the comments here remind me that, at the worst of the COVID epidemic, the death rate among Republican voters was 43% higher than the death rate among Democratic voters after vaccines became available. As the Bible says, you reap what you sow.

There was (and is) an epidemic of heterosexually transmitted HIV in West and Central Africa.

So this is why Opus had to switch departments. At least he still has a job

Every time the media does this there a casualties. Often enough fatalities. Social and moral panics are always baseless. Children trying fatal stunts are (thank god) rarities.

It did increase condom sales for a while.

But now STDs are making a huge comeback.

Especially syphillis, apparently.
