It’s interesting (for sufficiently sad values of “interesting”) to see how many places that stupid orange puppet’s name appears in books published before 2015. But this may the first time I’ve noticed him in a comic. (I could dig up a couple of recent book references here. At least one of them was within the last day or two.)

Oingo Boingo’s “Only a Lad” rocked the rafters.

I don’t recall the exact language, but there’s a quip about Saturday Night dissipation followed by Sunday Morning repentance. Well, when I was a kid — although I hadn’t encountered the joke — it seemed to me that there was a parallel between that joke and Saturday morning cartoons on TV followed by the Sunday morning Bible Basher programs.
