While all that is true it wold also mean closing down all the pork barrel projects, police force reductions, campaign planks and politician buy-votes give-aways

When I worked on tackling gang violence around an East London, UK, school, 50% of the street crime around the school was our kids being mugged for their phones by other kids selling them for peanuts to buy drugs. Legalise, regulate, cut crime, better quality control, tax. Win-win.

Soft on drugs isn’t working so well either…

Today’s drug lords are Big Pharma. These companies and their opioids pushed the old cocaine kingpins to the side.

Berkeley makes a point. How would legalizing drugs, while making those who use drugs liable for everything they do and for everything that happens to them affect daily life?

Or you could have down town areas turn into zombie wastelands where all the shops are closed and nobody wants to go to

Berkeley does drugs.

Aren’t we all a member of some special interest group, even if there’s only one member?

All the drug dealers who lost their jobs illegally selling Marijuana, now work at dispenseries because of their product knowledge.
