Daddy! It's approximately my birthday! 1/365th of my life is birthdays, so if we say every day is my birthday, we're within two orders of magnitude of the truth. To simplify our lives, we can just say every day is my birthday. Okay, it's a deal. We start tomorrow. Later... Did you get me lots of presents? Approximately.

Every day is approximately your birthday today, tomorrow and yesterday. That means we’ll be regifting your presents a lot more often.

We could pretty much round it to zero, too, you know….that would be an acceptable margin of error.
Be careful what you ask for…. some digits might be more significant to you than others.

Probably several of your teachers took pains to say, when any of us distributed birthday candy to the class, “It’s your birthday anniversary, NOT your birthday.” Most likely the same ones who said 2001 was the start of the Millennium.
