Could be he’s just trying to make more money off his book. His website (up and unaltered since November) has no archive, so it’s possible he made the book then decided to turn it into a comic strip.
Not sure how anyone who bought it would feel about that. It’s also a little early to be touting t-shirts here after only releasing a single strip.
Maybe I’m just being cynical, though I’ve seen this sort of thing before.
Ouch! Yes, the New Yorker cartoon with a similar line has indeed just been pointed out to be. I honestly wasn’t aware of it here in merry old England, but it must have crossed the pond somehow and arrived in my consciousness! Anthony
