Comics and puzzles are the only reasons to read the paper. I would recommend adding more, as many as can practically be fitted in, and do not add them to the website.Force them to buy the physical paper.FORCE THEM!
There was a time, many decades ago, when I became proficient enough to do the New York Times crossword puzzle… In pen. While I still enjoy crossword puzzles, those days are long gone.
I like the crossword. I HATE the WordSearch. It gives me an awful headache. Crosswords can help your brain. WordSearch can send you to your ophthalmologist.
I always start with the Jumble. It is on the inside of the fold and is the only puzzle on that page. The outer fold has the Crossword, the Crytoquip and the Sudoku, which are ritualistically completed in that order. I regret the inference that I am thus a leftist Kaptain Kangaroo Wannabe. That may certainly be the case, my being a fictional character and thus infinitely redefinable, but I am still allowed my regrets.

I memorized all of the crossword clues and answers which are just bad puns. 10 across was a international politics clue, so no pun in 10 did.

I would certainly have resented the implication, had there been implication or any possible resentment thereof.
