Plant early, mid, and late seasons tulips, an all season mix of daffodils, several kinds of irises, and several types of lilies. Underplant the whole row with vinca minor. By the time one type dies down, the next takes over, and eventually it is all covered by vinca for the winter, until the daffys come back to repeat the cycle.
