    I remember (decades ago, actually), the first time I heard The Beatles’ music in an elevator. It made me very, very sad.

    Of course you liked it! They stopped playing “elevator music” in favor of playing actual artist recorded songs decades ago.

    One of the radio stations near me, has a motto to the effect of: “All the best music, was written in the last century.” Apparently, that’s true, as so many commercials on tv are using music, if not actual songs, from that era.
