Unluckily (or luckily?) for Hercules, the delicious Hydrox went extinct.

Hey Roy_Boy…. I actually answered your silliness on Frazz, before I knew you were spamming the whole site.

Now I realise it doesn’t matter…you, too, will probably be invisible by morning.

Hydrox actually was first, then Oreo was made as a knock-off

Around 25 years ago, I was involved in some patent litigation where I learned the recipe for the filing used in Sunshine Hydrox cookies:(1) part granulated sugar(2) parts lardPork fat ruled, at least for a while . . .

Hydrox cookies did go extinct, back in the 1990’s, when Sunshine Biscuits was sold to Keebler.I used to like them, and I remember them disappearing.

Keebler then made something called Droxies, but they were horrible (IMHO) and eventually went extinct as well. There are new Hydrox cookies out now, which I just found out about, but they’re unrelated..

That defunct brand name was sold about a year ago to another company, which puts it on cookies made by their own recipe…I haven’t tried ‘em but don’t have high hopes.

I loved Hydrox cookies too. The ones that are closest are sold by Raley;s/BelAire markets under their won label.

I also miss Mother’s chocolate covered marshmallow with vanilla cookie under – earlier version had darker chocolate.
